The film Rock in Reykjavík (written and directed by Fridrik Thor Fridriksson) gives a thorough overview of the powerful and expanding rock scene in Reykjavík at the beginning of the eighties. Most of the film consists of performances by a wide variety of rock-groups in various clubs and rehearsing places in Reykjavík, as well as interviews with members of the groups representing different views on such features of the rock scene as sex, drugs and politics. 19 groups appear in the film, showing a remarkable range of styles and attitudes. The soundtrack is in Dolby-stereo.
